Early in my childhood I developed an ear for harmonics. Strangely enough when it came to local DJs, Trinidad did not impress me. DJs grew popular, all with their own style of emulating what the radio DJs did. As a result I gathered the little funds I had and started my journey to becoming the greatest DJ out of the West Indies. I stand by my motto that it’s not the equipment that makes the DJ so I started off rather humbly with a Numark CDN90 and made my first, small steps in the music industry. Appreciating vinyl for what it is, I became a timecoded vinyl junkie, supporting Deckadance software on a MacBook with a pair of Numark DirectDrive TTs. Determined to be of a different breed, my musical style can be summed up in one word “Pepperpot” i.e. Bounty Killer to N.E.R.D., Big L to Axwell, Tiesto to Machel Montano, Drupatee to Beastie Boys and the list goes on. I am very appreciative of new talent out there trying to make a difference in our industry and so, with some luck, my reviews and advice should either help many of you out there to become better at what you love or convince you to join the glamorous life of entertainment.
