Monster Beats by Dr Dre
Dre’s beats are legendry, and now he’s released a set of headphones to do them justice. They’ve been picking up great reviews from the likes of Time and USA Today, and were designed in conjuction with Monster - famous for their (overpriced) audiophile cables.
The headphones aren’t cheap, currently retailing for about 350 USD, so what do you get for the money? Deep bass, smooth undistorted highs and crystal clear vocals. Or as Bishop Lamont said “Man, I can see colors. I can see through walls. They give me x-ray vision. They give me super-human strength. If you wear them long enough you even get buffer and you don’t gotta work out at the gym.” You do need to stick batteries in them though.
These phones aren’t specifically designed for DJs, but if you really want to hear your music how the producer intended then I suggest you check them out.
Beats by Dr Dre were first annouced at the CES show in January, and have been availabe in the shops for several weeks now. So, if you do decide to buy a set you shouldn’t have any problem finding them, and you’ll be all set when Detox gets released.
